Just popping in this Wednesday for a quick yes I’m alive post. I normally hate when bloggers approach a writing hiatus in this manner, but I’ve had so many sweet comments and emails that I felt a little explanation was necessary.
These past two weeks have been nothing short of life moving full speed ahead. After evacuating our coastal home due to Hurricane Isaac, we spent a long weekend in Atlanta to seek shelter from a storm that, thankfully, ended up moving past us ever so slightly. Blessings were bestowed as no damage ensued. I then spent two nights at home before taking off to a neighboring beach town for a little girls reunion with this crew:
Long talks, lots of laughs, and multiple glasses of wine and plates of sweets are so very good for the soul. With three engaged and three having just celebrated big birthdays, we were happy to celebrate every little thing we could. So thankful for time spent with soul sisters, especially when I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like.
So, after arriving home on Monday, I’ve spent the work week catching up as much as possible before I fly out early Saturday morning for New York Fashion Week. Perhaps my favorite week of the year, I feel like I can never plan too much—which makes it especially ironic that I haven’t even put together one single outfit to take along with me yet.
So that's what I'm doing today—mapping out our show schedules for the week, printing hotel confirmations, and making dinner dates with New York friends I'm long overdue to see. I was given a new camera lens for my Nikon, so let's hope the photos I come home with are unbelievable for me to share.
I've been Pinteresting a bit during this madness to try and continue to curate all things inspiring, so hopefully a little extra time will arise to share. In the meantime, I hope you're having a happy mid-week morning!
