(Photo by Troy Ruprecht)As Southern as they come, I'm equipped with a golden childhood in Mississippi and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy). I've spent time working in publishing, marketing, public relations, and new media—a lover of communication, I spent all my summers living and working in the media, from the skyscrapers of New York City to the sunny beaches of Seaside, Florida. But first things first—I'm a writer.
There's a special sparkle in my eye for style, and I've grown to appreciate the uniqueness that comes with each individual's personal taste. Fashion, decor, whatever it may be-- I'm a style-seeker of sorts, always chasing inspiration that makes life just so much sweeter or sparkle a little brighter.
I say y'all. At times there's a chance I might be a teensy tiny bit dramatic or sarcastic. I'm practicing to become more adept in the kitchen, but can whip you up a legit mojito.
Loves? Art. Fitzgerald. Sweet tea. Classical ballet. Magnolias. Cheesy scary movies. Dancing. Summer storms. Dixie Land. Inspirational quotes. DIY. The smell of sunscreen. Opals. Nude wedges.
I love to talk to you, my readers, so let's start a little chat.
I'll be the first to tell you I'm in love with the people in my life, and pardon moi if I get a bit sappy or nostalgic at times. I'll also be the first to tell you the Word is my life-guide.
