Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

Wishing you all a fabulous Friday and a fun-filled Fourth of July weekend!

As my 3rd favorite holiday (behind New Years and Christmas, obviously), the Fourth of July always yields a pretty darn good celebration, as does any event with boats, hot dogs, and sparklers. A few ways to celebrate your Independence Day the right way:

Wear Red, White, or Blue

Make a Patriotic Tablescape
1. For a fresh centerpiece, saturate a floral foam sphere in cool water, then cut the stems of white and red carnations short until they are only about 1 inch long. Then, in a tight pattern, insert stems into the sphere until it is covered. Cluster these carnation balls together in differentiating sizes for fun bursts of color throughout the table.

2. For a buffet style meal, place card each dish with a fun American Icon name. A few of my favorites via the roomates: Freedom Franks, Paul Revere Rotel, Patriotic Punch, and Uncle Sam Spinach Dip.

3. At the end of the buffet, cluster a fork, spoon, and knife together with a tiny American Flag for guests to use. Tie with striped red, white, and blue ribbon.

Eat a Hotdog
What's more American than that classic treat?

Say a Prayer for our Troops, Past and Present

Love Your Neighbor
This is the Fourth of July. We're celebrating America here, so love on your fellow Americans. Offer up a drink to a passerby, invite a few extra people on to the boat, share sparklers around the neighborhood. Involve yourself in an intense taste of community.

Have a safe and fabulously fun weekend!
