This past Saturday, some girlfriends and I got together to celebrate this mama-to-be.
Isn't she the most gorgeous pregnant woman you've ever seen?
Shelley's soul is as a bright as her sweet smile so we were thrilled to come together to host what was our group's first baby show.
Ever. And in doing so, we kept things simple. The breathtaking WaterColor home we threw the shower in, overlooking the lake and flooded with light from the screened in porches and windows, needed minimal decor—some simple, hydrangea-rich arrangements and lilies were all the accents needed throughout the home.
The menu was put together by another close friend who does personal catering on the side, and included everything from cheese grits, quiches, and shrimp cups to colorful fruit skewers and cheese plates. And let's not forget the mimosa bar. Or these adorable Baby Belen cupcakes, complete with the white chocolate Bs.
Just look at those little baby feet.
As guests left after a few hours of celebrating and champagne, we made sure they had sweet treats wrapped in simple wax paper and baking twine to take with them for their day.
Then we got a big surprise this week—it looks like Baby Belen is so anxious to meet her mom, she may just arrive this weekend! Luckily sweet Shelley got enough baby girl attire to to make sure she's dressed to a tee since she'll be arriving almost a month early.
