Mary Catherine and I share a love for a lot of things: Manhattan, coffee, musicals, white chocolate peanut butter, blogs, design, the beach, Cafeteria in downtown Chelsea, dancing, bright colors, positive thinking, a really well-written anything, wine, and the list goes on and on. A certain something on that list just so happens to be a love for Kate Spade. While, naturally, we are drawn to the bright colors and chic classic style that the designer embodies, it is the personality of the brand that gets us every time, leading us to believe that if ever we stumbled upon Kate herself, we'd probably be best friends. Duh.
She adorns her stores with quotes such as:
Don't pretend you don't want to be that girl.
... leading me (and millions others loyal to the designer) naturally drawn to the charming, quirky personality that is Kate Spade and we so wish (believe) to be ourselves as well. She makes you want to be a Kate Spade Kind of Girl. So, when Mary Catherine posted this video on Lilies and Sparrows this morning, I knew before the finish Kate the Great was behind it, again cementing my love for the personality that is Kate Spade.
